If you are heading to New York for business or pleasure, you have to make time for the sex and the city tour. It only takes a few hours, and you get to see all of the places where Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha called home. The tour guides are fabulous, and share some great trivia about the show and the cast.

You will get to see Carrie’s front stoop. Although the audience is led to believe she lives on the Upper East Side, the apartment is actually in the West Village. Bring your credit card and forget about saving money in NYC for a minute, as the tour makes a quick stop at Jimmy Choo. This is where Carrie bought all of her shoes.

If you remember the episode where Charlotte bought her rabbit, you will not be disappointed when the tour bus stops at The Pleasure Chest. One of the funniest Charlotte episodes was at the ABC Carpet & Home. You will see the store where she and her future Mother-In-Law Bunny, had that famous fight over a bed.

The Scout bar, which Steve and Aidan owned, is actually called Onieal’s. Enjoy a cosmopolitan, and remember some of the great episodes that were shot there. Speaking of Aidan, you will go on location and see where he designed his furniture.

The bus will take you to the little church around the corner, where Samantha had a fling with the friar. This is also known as the actor’s church, so they were very accommodating to the cast and crew. The meatpacking district, where Samantha bought her apartment, is another highlight of the tour.

Miranda and Carrie loved cupcakes. Take the Sex and The City tour and you will be treated to a free cupcake at this world-famous bakery. A highlight is the chi-chi department store, where Miranda and the girls talked about Alexander Petrovsky. He was the reason that Carrie moved to France.

For 6 seasons, the women from Sex and the City shopped, ate, hung out, and partied in New York City, and millions of viewers did too. Relive those memories with the Sex and the city tour.

The culture of different states in India varies a lot. I love Mallu community for their fun and action oriented spirit in their films. So when ever you happen to have a bad day – your boyfriend left you or your boss wasn’t happy with your work or you burned you dinner – try watching Malayalam movies online for cheering up. But what films to look for if you are new to this part of the world?

There two huge stars in Kerala, the southern state of India, where Malayalam is the main language. These stars are Mohanlal and Mammootty. Mohanlal is THE comedy star for sure. I hope you can find subtitles when watching Malayalam movies online, but even if you don’t, he just so funny to watch even. The language is important still, as most of his jokes are dialog-based. One of the funniest films by Mohanlal is Boeing Boeing. It was release in 1985. There are parts in this film that people in Kerala know by hart. The movie has lifted the spirit of Mallu community for decades by now. The movie called Vellanakalude Naadu from 1988 is an other one you wouldn’t want to miss.

If it is the action that you need to forget about all the sorrow in your life, then watch films by Suresh Gopi. It is not all pieace and fun in India and Suresh Gopi has performed well to bring it up. The systems can be corrupted and the criminals very dangerous. Try to find a movie called Commissioner from 1994 and enjoy the unforgettable acting talent of this guy.

And if all this hasn’t really helped to get your mood up, then maybe South-Indian style is not what your cup of tea as they say. Try something North-Indian and listen to some Punjabi songs that can be extreme energy boosters, look for bhangra style. At least half of Punjabi songs should get you going for sure.

Sleepless in Seattle – no one could have predicted that this movie would have become as huge as it did. Even though it would be considered old by some standards today, it can still hold its own against any romantic movie that Hollywood turns out now. It’s interesting to remember that the two characters don’t even meet until the very end of the movie. How magical is that?

Wall-E – this movie makes the list because of the unusual fact that the two main characters aren’t human at all. But when everything is said and done this movie features one of the greatest love stories of all time between two lovable robots. And along the way, we get messages about the importance of preserving the environment, protecting the earth, and how love is the most essential thing of all.

Titanic – if you have three hours to kill that it might be time to revisit this instant classic. A lot of people forget that the filming of Titanic was plagued with numerous problems and an overinflated budget. As it turns out, none of that matters today because all we think of when we think of this movie is one of the best romantic films of all time.

Everyone likes music, right? With the advent of the internet, music sharing has become embedded in our social networking by way of internet music stations and maybe even file sharing. That said, here are some of the best online music stations that the web has to provide:

last.fm – With last.fm you can import your history of music listening from all your media players (this is called scrobbling). From last.fm you can get recommendations on other music, as well as get connected with others sharing your taste in music, as well as get info on upcoming gigs related to your favorite artists.

Pandora.com – Pandora prompts you to enter in a song or an artist when you visit. From there, it creates an automated radio station based on your initial song or artist. Pandora is one of those “smart” radios – you are given the option to add more of your favorite songs and artists into your radio. My Favorite Date Movies

Dating can be nerve-wracking, to say the least.  Taking that special someone to a movie is generally a good way to ensure he or she will have a nice time.  However, depending on the box office to supply your local theater with a good date movie is not always a safe bet.  Don’t underestimate a nice night in, cuddled up on your couch with a bowl of popcorn, a blanket, and a choice film from the video store.  Be on the lookout for one of these gems when choosing what you will rent for the evening.

If you’re looking for something in the black and white variety, give Bringing Up Baby a try.  This romantic comedy starring Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant tells the story of a misguided girl who loses a leopard.  At a loss for what to do, she convinces a well-meaning paleontologist to help her find it.  The movie chronicles their misadventures, and details exactly how they fall in love with one another.

If your date is made of stronger stuff and enjoys a good spook, stick with the classic Poltergeist.  While this film is packed with frights, it also gives you moments of unintentional laughter due to the extremely dated special effects.  However, during those moments that are truly hair-raising, you can bet that you and your companion will inch a little closer to each other.

Some ladies and gents find that their type is “different.”  Those who look different, speak differently, read obscure books, and listen to little known music.  They also enjoy movies that aren’t exactly mainstream.  Enter The Science of Sleep, a film about a girl who meets a boy who is a little off-kilter, but who intrigues her and finds his way deep into her subconscious.  The Science of Sleep is honest and sweet, but uncomfortable and a bit disturbing, in a soft manner.

The next movie is perfect for those who have established a serious relationship, but just need a night snuggled up together.  Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is the story of a couple who have recently parted ways.  One of them is so upset that she has her ex-boyfriend erased from her memory.  Once he realizes what she’s done, he decides to do the same, in retaliation.  However, once the process begins, he realizes that the memory of her is all he has left, and that he doesn’t want to lose that last bit of her.  Eternal Sunshine will break your heart, but it will bring to mind all the things you love and need about your significant other.

No matter your age or background, there isn’t a person who has a beating heart that won’t appreciate the gentle whimsy of Harvey.  Starring Jimmy Stewart and a gigantic invisible bunny, Harvey tells the story of a man who has rejected the harshness of reality, and replaced it with his own interpretation of the world around him.  No matter how the date ends, Harvey will leave you with a smile on your face.
