When the Netflix online movie service began, you would use your home Internet connection to browse the catalogue and then wait a few days for the postal service to deliver your rental with a return envelope.

The most imortant is the bandwidth at the ealier days the Bandwidth was very low so it was not possible to Download the movie over internet..But With the Increase use of internet and the speed its now possible for us to see the movie online.
